Equipment:
You will need to provide your own laptop.
For presentations in 304C and the Ballroom, it is recommended that the laptops be connected to our monitors using an HDMI cable, which we have. The reason is because HDMI provides a more consistent connection. We will provide the adapters and cables for the wired connection. Mac users should bring appropriate dongle as AV departments don’t always have the various versions.
However, not all the smaller breakout rooms have the option for a wired connection, included is a picture as a sample for presenters to connect to the monitors wirelessly.
Screen sharing should be ON when wirelessly sharing.
There are security settings on Mac that sometimes interfere with the seamless sharing of the screen. Occasionally, guests follow our directions to connect to the screen and it will show as black instead of screen sharing. Below is a step you can take on your mac before you arrive.

We also suggest having a backup option too. We will have an AV tech onsite to assist.
