APTA CT in leadership role with Connecticut Healthcare Coalition

Since January, APTA CT President Maryclaire Capetta and Vice President Rachel Pata have taken a lead role in the development of the Connecticut Healthcare Coalition. The Coalition was instrumental in advocating for a new state loan program that, if passed this legislative session, will provide a new $10 million student loan program for Connecticut students pursuing graduate-level professional degree education. The Coalition, which includes 15 different provider groups from across healthcare, including nurses/APRNs, OTs, SLPs, Dietitians, ATCs, PAs, and others, regularly meets to discuss legislative, practice, and payment issues.

Together, we have a powerful voice in the state, and we look forward to this continued collaboration with our healthcare colleagues
